Sébastien Cordier studied in Geneva at the Haute Ecole de Musique as well as the CNSM in Paris, where he obtained diplomas as a soloist and a chamber music musician, with distinction.
A polyvalent musician, Sébastien Cordier enjoys equally the symphonic repertory as well as the baroque and contemporary music. His numerous collaborations with world famous ensembles have led him to perform in the planet’s most celebrated venues, and have given him a solid experience as an orchestral musician.
As a chamber music player, Sébastien Cordier has performed with the Makrokosmos Quartet (two pianos and two percussion), with whom he recorded several CDs, the Drumming Quartet, the percussion collective Eklekto, and has explored and created new works with the Ensemble Contrechamps. He has given master-classes in several countries around the world, including the Toho Gakuen University of Japan and the Bilkent University of Madrid.
