Outreach and family events
This season we take our series “tout public” literally: our outreach projects include activities for the youngest to oldest music lovers! You can come to listen, engage, and play along.
The priority of the series is audience participation and direct contact with our musicians.
“Tout public”
Our family day, which is an annual tradition, offers stories, lots of new music, workshops and many surprises. This is planned for our young and youngest audience alongside their parents and grandparents, who will also have a lot to discover.
To experience our musicians up close and personal, you can join us at MAH and MAMCO, where concerts are combined with a tour through the museum. Important collaborations with the Haute école de musique de Genève - Neuchâtel will be presented during our season concerts - students will share their creative studies and works and explore different ways to introduce and enrich your concert experience. Our outreach work in schools is also constantly growing and we look forward to many enriching experiences in primary schools in Geneva for over 2000 pupils.
Participation
We are especially excited about the first event with the ensemble Contrechamps Close-Up. Because this ensemble – dear audience, dear friends, dear music lovers – is you! The musicians of Contrechamps are looking forward to collaborating with passionate amateur musicians to perform a new piece by Jacques Demierre during the Festival Archipel.
This will be the third season we continue the precious work with our Chœur en Fusion. Under the direction of Aurélien Chappuis everyone – with or without disabilities – is welcome to join this joyful experience. The music is written by Contrechamps’ guitarist Simon Aeschimann. Both a concert and CD recording are planned for 2025. We’re looking forward to making music with you!
Accessibility
All our concerts are accessible to people with special needs. If you have any questions about your comfort during a performance, we’re happy to answer and help you with any questions. Our new partnership with “Sorties Relax” in Geneva enables us to offer a concert experience without the traditional concert hall etiquette and unspoken rules.Everybody is welcome – toddler to adult, regular concert goer or complete newbie to the concert hall. For this event you can freely express your emotions, move around and enjoy a concert in a safe, inclusive and comfortable environment. We also explore accessibility on stage through a collaboration with the inclusive orchestra Tabula Musica from Bern. This interdisciplinary project passionately celebrates inclusion and diversity within the world of art.
This season gives many opportunities to meet, exchange, talk, discuss and laugh. We’re looking forward to sharing many special moments with you and to experiencing the joy of exploring music together.
