The title of Enno Poppe’s new piece, Laub (Leaves), evokes both the plant world dear to the composer as well as his notion of sound as something that grows, evolves and proliferates. With his passion for micro-tonality and rhythmic micro-intervals, no doubt he will enthrall us with a manifold, intense and delightful experience! The concert will unfold like a “forest of stories”, opening with a recitation of Hafiz’s text Be Not Grieved, set to music by Biel-based composer Jalalu-Kalvert Nelson.
